Why our FreezeGard Blankets?

Engineered to reduce equipment downtime by preventing freeze-ups on pipes, hoses and tanks, our heated thermal blankets are not only easy to install and cost-effective, but they’re waterproof, ultraviolet protected and are effective from -58°F to +122°F.

Heat Trace Wiring

Heat Trace Wire are used in conjunction with FreezeGard Blankets to assist in preventing machine from freezing up. Wires are available in 12V, 24V, 120V and 240V.
We offer two styles for the placement of heat trace wires for FreezeGard Blankets:

Black Heavy-Duty Tubing

Best used for applications such as water, DEF or any other box or tank like applications. The heavy duty tubing gives extra protection against the heat trace wire wearing through to bare wire.

Strap Style

The strap style is very flexible and is an easy install and can be used in most applications.

FAQs

How are FreezeGard Blankets fastened?

Velcro hook and loop strip down the length of the blanket. Additional ways of fastening are tie wraps or velcro straps.

How heavy are FreezeGard Blankets?

We aim to keep each individual blanket under 40Ibs for ease of installation.

How does heat trace work with FreezeGard Blankets?

Pipes - We recommend the heat trace is first spiral wrapped around it and then our cover is installed, as two separate components.
Tanks - The covers are designed with a strap/webbing system that head trace feeds through, keeping it secure and against the tank.

How long do the FreezeGard Blankets take to install?

Our FreezeGard Blankets are simple to install and should not take longer than 1-2 hours to complete.

Are there any safety concerns with heat trace?

The heat trace wire has self-regulating technology which means that it can never over heat and damage the pipes.

Are FreezeGard Blankets moisture resistant?

Yes, our FreezeGard Blankets are moisture-resistant.

Hitachi EH5000 Sound Suppressed Exhaust System

A site running Hitachi EH5000 trucks that were fitted with standard sound suppression mufflers was having issues with them due to high back pressure, cracking and falling apart prematurely. The current mufflers were not meeting the sound reduction requirements the site was seeking to achieve. The client was exceeding boundary noise limits due to upscaling of fleet size and required noise reduction to be achieved on existing trucks to continue mining at night.

Komatsu 930E grid box and exhaust attenuation

The client operated an open cut coal mine in NSW. The sound power target for its fleet of Komatsu 930E trucks was set at 120 dB(A) to meet the boundary noise requirements. The current noise level was recorded at 124 dB(A), 4 dB(A) louder than the prescribed limits.
